Anarchy in the Streets

Well, you finally did it.

You finally pushed San Paro too far.

Maybe it was that last rocket that sailed over your shoulder and into an SUV. Maybe it was the stray bullet from the PMG that you were firing out of the side of the car window. Maybe it was just the day-glow shirt you were wearing yesterday. Regardless of what it was, it looks like Anarchy has finally descended upon San Paro. We expect to restore order by the end of the week, but in the meantime we'll try and explain what's going on...

Transient Aberrations

We're going to be testing out Chaos Mode on the live game between May 30th and June 6th. This is a very early prototype for the mode that doesn't contain all the social features or game play elements from our finalized version, but we're finally ready to bring this to the game at large.

The first thing you'll notice once you join a Chaos District is that the contacts have gone - you can't run missions in Chaos Districts at the moment - and have been replaced by Shadow Strike Elites and Bloodrose Assassins. They serve as vendors while in Chaos Districts, just in case you realize that your LTL gun might not be up to the task in this brave new world. You'll also notice that you have a couple of counters at the top of your screen.

The number on your left is your Score for this life. The number on the right is your current survival time. The small numbers behind those ones are your high scores, which is a number that's tracked in perpetuity, so it won't reset even if you log out. Your job is to go out and hunt the opposite faction and get the highest score. You can see a list of how well everyone in the district is currently doing by pressing Tab and bringing up the Chaos Scoreboard.

Some of the prizes that will be available during the course of this event include two brand new titles for your character; one is awarded for killing 100 players during the event, and the other for staying alive for a total of ten minutes, which is way harder than it sounds! We've also added a new role just for this event! The Score Streak role rewards players for reaching certain score totals during a single life - if you score 500 points, you get 150 Joker Tickets. 1000 points will net you 350 Joker Tickets. And finally, a score of 1500 will get you a 10 day lease of the new Nekrova SSW Light Machine Gun!

This game mode will only be available to play for a week, so enjoy it while it lasts! Remember, this is just a test of this system as it is at the moment. We want to see how well it works and whether you guys like it or not, so don't hesitate to come on over to the APB Reloaded forums and tell us what you think.

It's a great game and I will never be tired playing it, even with lag, but it's not the best way, as you can iamgine, so make it happen better please, thanks for everything :)

  6. i forsee the best spots / rooftops being exploided by 4x4vegas in both maps... good spots near spawns and big crowds including the mall and griefstation

add car spawner to the mix...

    pro design lol

  7. I hope Player of same faction can't kill eachother, because the average stupid APB Player shoots on all which is on his hunting cross, e. g. Osterevent.

  8. but seriously u need to fix the engine bugs before releasing more features

just cause u hide my comment it wont make the bugs go away

and i have no reason to report them, get them fixed or noone to report them too

  9. I won't lie, that's kinda stupid that the chaos district doesn't allow us to rank up our roles... I'm telling you, 'cause of that, a lot of players gonna stop playing after they're done with their achievements.

Jotunblut: NOTE: You will not be able to advance regular roles in Chaos Districts.

    1. indeed. it's essentially a much better version of fight club. but fight club allows role leveling while chaos district dont?
      makes sense!

i was kinda happy when i saw it's coming but after i saw that note my anticipation was reduced to 10% of its initial amount.

      gg g1

  10. Would be nice if you could pledge to a contact before entering and rank up by killing the enemy.

Of course then again the only server that would ever be played is Chaos District. heh- why do missions if you can just roam around with a fleet of fully armed SUV's shooting crims all day =P

    1. I'm sure this place will be the best for Aimbotters to farm us down... They will just sit on the roofs and pawn us with LMG-s :D

  15. Oh the lag it will cause, money first, you've fucked up again -_-

  18. its not good for 2 reason , 1- coz all the players not have same skills some them will win and the other cant play and lose all the time
2- in this week i cant do any mission coz all the enemy have red color so i cant diff. between my enemy in mission and public enemy

  19. WOW

  20. Fix the god damn mode, make the map smaller and delete NPCs and their cars along side placing invisible walls on roof to stop camping and nerfing OSMAWs and hackers

    ReplyDelete
  21. Congrats APB. You just gave ALL hackers a reason to hack some more. Maybe you should use this week to catch all the hackers and ip ban there asses for once instead of releasing a FFA needing 15 kills in a row to even get a crappy 10 day gun -.-

    ReplyDelete
  22. is it possible to get those jokertickets you got from your streaks again if you do such a streak at the next day?

    ReplyDelete
  23. im sorry seems to me like this game ir geared towards the hackers.... :(

  24. Roleplay: Global war. Good idea to rally security officers when in usual missions or come across weak players, or it isn't enough of them, and happens and, it is boring since the opponent is weak, many are indignant that them called against, or late. Here general mobilization, without a delay and the right to refusal. "You're in the army now", i like it.

  25. It's fun, but...there is A LOT of killfarming where an enforcer and a criminal teams up and farms kills while helping each other by teamkilling if necessary to keep the farmer alive.

This is made all the more easy by being able to choose your spawn point. So...having rewards based on score becomes a straight reward for such 'exploiting'.

Now, if thias is intended that's fine I guess...

  26. I think this will cool, if further you add this system

    ReplyDelete
  27. It needs more of a point to it. I understand it's a 'chaos district' but you just get 90% of the map unused and a bunch of roof campers. I like to use SMG's. Good luck using an SMG vs. the immense amount of LMG's, Snipers and OSMAWs. Perhaps it should be a gametype where you have to capture certain areas of the map. Bit like a 'hold' objective but on a huge scale, then when you capture it your faction NPC spawns. Points given for people doing the objectives. Just an idea. At least then you would have some liquidity in the system rather than such a rigid haul of campers.

Another idea was maybe have some new 'chaos contacts' maybe some guys who are trying to find some stability in this chaos situation for enforcers, and some people who are trying to relish in it for criminals. Get unique rewards from them.

All in all, i really like the concept but if you are going to use the full maps then we need SOME kind of objective, even if its just every 5mins a new 'kill zone' appears on the map where if you fight inside it you gain extra points.

  28. New update + new lags + new bugs = New shit >.<!

    ReplyDelete
  29. the solution is simple, don't allow osmaw and sniper. problem fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  30. This is surely the essence of San Paro, adrenaline, anxiety, recklessness and fear... or not?, all in real time and without a chance to relax.
We hope that this chaos is not just for 6 days
    We want anarchy forever

    ReplyDelete
  31. I miss the chaos districts.. It wss laggy, but there was the initial atmosphere of APB like I imagined it before it was even released: war, chaos, danger and not this mission-based far-from-life-abstraction.. Bring back the chaos districts.. Does it cost that much?
